Director

Moya has worked extensively in businesses, marketing and events, and trained with the Victorian Ballet School Fitzroy under Dianne Parrington in many dance styles including R.A.D ballet and Character Dance. She has almost 10 years experience teaching Character and Ballet, is an accredited Laurel Martyn Dance System primary school ballet teacher and a registered International Character Dance Syllabus teacher. She has directed the Victorian Ballet School Darebin since 2018.

Principle

Dianne studied in England and Australia before joining Ballet Victoria School and trained under Laurel Martyn OAM. After graduating, she became Principal Dancer with Ballet Victoria. Guest appearances included tour with Mikail Barishnikov & Natalia Makarova. Invited to China along with Garth Welch and Dame Margaret Scott as Guest Teacher in 1975.

Gained R.A.D. Advanced Teaching Diploma in 1980 and appointed Grade Examiner in 1983 examining throughout Australia and overseas for 20 years. Dance Lecturer since 1994 and now Coordinator at Box Hill Institute. Post Graduate Diploma lecturer at the Victorian College of the Arts from 2000 to 2004. Examiner with the Movement and Dance Education Centre. Choreographer with Young Dancers Company and she choreographed the 2013 VBS production of The Magic Faraway Tree.


VANESSA BROWN

TEACHER FOR: CLASSICAL BALLET

Educated in the Laurel Martyn Dance System, Vanessa has been a primary school ballet teacher at VBS since 2011.


FIONA VIVIAN

Bachelor of Arts (Hons)



TEACHER FOR: CHARACTER DANCE & CLASSICAL BALLET

Fiona trained with the Victorian Ballet School and studied Character dance with Luba Baksheev and Kerrie McArthur. She performed with the Russian Theatrical Society and has developed the Character classes and performances over recent years.


CHERYL BOYNE

Diploma of Teaching (C.S.T.D)



TEACHER FOR: ADULT TAP

Cheryl was a teacher of Jazz and Tap in Perth W.A. for the Vivian Stodel Studio and the Dance Gallery. She was also involved in Performing and Choreographing for Musical Theatre.


JINI LIM

TEACHER FOR: SPANISH

Jini has studied, taught and performed Spanish dance and Flamenco. She studied in Perth with Deanna Blacher and various teachers in Australia and Spain. In 1993, she joined the Danza Viva Spanish Dance Company and became an accredited teacher in 1999. Since moving to Melbourne, Jini has performed with contemporary flamenco group – Arte Kanela.


AUDRA TORY

TEACHER FOR: ADULT CLASSICAL BALLET

Audra trained in Sydney, before travelling to New York to continue her training with Ajkun Ballet Theatre. She then worked professionally with Atlantic City Ballet in New Jersey. Since returning home she has performed and taught in both Sydney and Melbourne. Audra is currently performing with Melbourne City Ballet.
